Embroidered Bedcover - Ombré Chocolate

I made this bedcover from a 330gsm heavyweight linen in a shell kind of colour, hand dyed and woven by a family-run mill in Europe.

The border is embroidered with an German ombré thread that shifts between cocoa and sable, tracing the edges before crossing over at each corner and continuing down the sides.

Each piece is embroidered individually in my studio. I like to leave room for the subtle variations that come with making, allowing every bedcover to develop its own character.

This piece is 285cm long and 350cm wide.

Care:

Use pure soap or gentle detergent when laundering linens.I recommend gentle machine washing fringed linens which ensure longevity of this beautiful blanket. Use cool water. You may tumble dry on medium heat, for longevity I recommend line dry and finish in dryer 5-10mins.
